Hi Christine! Your blog is awesome! I don't know how I did not know about this blog! :)

I love what you said about the target market... So many use a lot of the right strategies, but have no clue who their target audience is. Which leads to a lot of wasted time and a discouraged entrepreneur. Not good!

Thank you for all the great info and keep up the great work! :)

@J.D.--It sounds obvious, but I always say to start with yourself and figure out 1) what your good at and 2) what you're passionate about. Is your expertise something others might need and would it excite you to share it with them? Clearly, "everyone" is not your target market. :) Are there people you seem to naturally attract to you? Who are the people who have problems that you can solve? Once you start narrowing these types of things down you need look at the demographics of these people. What age are they? Are they college-educated? Have kids? Where do they hang out? I know with myself, I started out a bit broad (small biz owners) and surveyed the people on my list from that population to ask them what they struggled with, what they needed, etc. and then I paid attention to who was showing up and responding to me the best. My niche narrowed from there and is still narrowing.

Now you've got me thinking about devoting a blog post to this--might be a good idea. :)

> Who is your target market and what do they want
What are key patterns and practices for figuring this out with confidence? (maybe a related question is, how do you figure out the right-sized niche)
